Quasar K lenses are custom rigid gas-permeable contact lenses used mainly for keratoconus and other irregular corneas. They are computer-machined with a multi-aspheric shape so the lens aligns smoothly with the uneven cornea rather than pressing on the cone.
When worn, a thin layer of tears fills the space between the rigid lens and the cornea, creating a smooth optical surface that corrects distortion and provides much sharper vision than glasses or soft lenses. The material allows high oxygen flow to keep the cornea healthy, and the refined design improves stability and comfort after an initial adaptation period.
